Program FAQs

Is the Devils Lacrosse Club a travel or recreational lacrosse club? The club is a travel program for both boys and girls teams. Our teams play other travel programs in central and northern New Jersey (out of town teams). The club also enters jamboree and championship format tournaments.

What season is lacrosse played? Lacrosse is a spring sport.

How are the teams divided? By age group and in some cases by experience and ability.

How much does the program cost? Please click on the boys and girls links on the top menu bar

When is registration? Registration will begin online on November 1st and end on February 1st.

How does our family register? Go to the website and locate the Register tab. (The tab will not be available before November 1st.) Online registration requires that you pay by credit card. You will then receive an email confirming your registration from the website.

When does lacrosse start? Equipment hand out will be in late February and practice begins for boys and girls Grades 3-8 in March. Grades K-2 will begin in April.

Typically where do we practice? J.P. Case Middle School, Reading Fleming Intermediate School (RFIS), or Copper Hill Elementary School. Practice schedules will be posted online.  Any changes to the schedule are posted online as well.

Where are away games? Our away games take place in Northern and Central New Jersey. Directions to all fields will be available on this website.

How do parents keep abreast of what's going on? Check the website: devilslacrosseclub.com, ask your child's coach, or check the TeamSnap App.

What does my registration fee go towards? We determine the registration fee by adding up all our costs and looking at the number of participants. The fee covers referees and officials, team equipment (goalie equipment, goals, nets, cones, balls etc.), medical kits, insurance for all coaches, membership to USA Lacrosse for all coaches, and tournament fees.

What is USA Lacrosse? The national governing body of men's and women's lacrosse. All players will become members of USA Lacrosse upon registering for the Devils Lacrosse Club programs. Their website is https://www.usalacrosse.com.

Why am I required to have a USA Lacrosse membership?  All players are required by USA Lacrosse, the governing body of men's and women's lacrosse, to have a membership.  This is required for insurance purposes.  Visit https://www.usalacrosse.com if you need your USA Lacrosse membership number or to renew your membership.

What is the uniform? Jersey and shorts for Grades 3-8 boys & girls and practice pinneys for all participants. The uniform is purchased from Darrow's Sporting Edge in January. The Grade 3-8 uniform costs approximately $85.
